CHILDREN IN NEED

The standard of living for many Romanian orphans is still grave despite vast improvements since their conditions were exposed after the fall of the communist government in 1989.

Over 70,000 children are currently in care in Romania. Many of the institutions that are caring for Romanian orphans are lacking in essential supplies.

SUPPORT FOR THE CHILDREN OF ROMANIA

In February of 2013, we set out to improve the living conditions of orphans in Romania.

A campaign was launched in the UK to raise funds to provide a disabled children’s home with essential hygiene supplies.

WHAT WE DID

With the help of a local NGO, our child support team sourced and purchased bulk quantities of cleaning products and hygiene supplies, such as nappies, soap, washing up powder and bleach. Our team delivered the products to the disabled children’s home in Braila in the east of Romania.
