EMERGENCY RELIEF
SYRIA

A DEADLY CONFLICT

In January of 2011, anti government protesters took to the streets of Syria, calling for change and reform. The government of Syria responded to the peaceful demonstrations with excessive force, killing thousands of protesters and injuring many more.

Almost five years on, the conflict has affected over twelve million people, hundreds of thousands have been killed and millions have been displaced.

CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SYRIA

Millions of Syrians who remain in Syria are struggling for food, water, medicine and other basic essentials, reliant on humanitarian organisations to deliver such necessities in order to survive.

Having been working on the ground in Syria with our partner organisations since the beginning of the conflict, we have been providing regular support to some of the most need people in various regions of Syria. During Ramadan of 2015, we continued this support by launching a campaign to provide food parcels to families still residing in the war torn region.

WHAT WE DID

With the help of one of our partner organisations, our team compiled a list of families living inside Syria on the border region with Turkey, who were in urgent need of food aid.

One hundred food parcels containing various items were prepared and delivered to the families.
