DISPLACED A SECOND TIME SYRIA

DISPLACED FOR A SECOND TIME

Due to the ongoing and ever increasing violence in Syria, thousands of Palestinians have become refugees for a second time.

Many of them have fled to the Gaza Strip, Palestine, arriving with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

SUPPORT FOR THE VICTIMS OF A BLOODY WAR

In April of 2013, we set out to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian families who had been forced to leave their homes in Syria.

A campaign was launched in the UK to raise funds to provide refugee families with financial aid, in a bid to make sure they had access to food, shelter, medicine and clothing.

WHAT WE DID

With the help of a partner organisation in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, our emergency relief team compiled a list of refugee families who had fled the violence in Syria and were in need of assistance.

With priority given to the most needy, the first of many families was gifted with a financial grant. The family, consisting of a mother and child, had no shelter or income to provide for themselves.

As well as providing financial assistance, our team helped the family find suitable accommodation.
